Essential oils and aromatic beauty treatments

Essential oils are concentrated aromatic extracts from plants, flowers, herbs and resins. In beauty, they are blended into face oils, hair and scalp treatments and body products for their scent and their sensorial, aromatherapy-inspired qualities. This collection gathers expert blends from spa and salon brands for face, body and hair, designed to nourish while creating a calming or revitalising ritual.

Popular essential-oil treatments

• Aromatic face oils: nourishing blends for radiance and comfort.
• Scalp and hair oils: pre-wash treatments with essential oils for the scalp.
• Body oils: massage and bath blends for relaxation.
• Targeted blends: formulated for specific skin types such as dry or combination skin.

How to use them safely

1. Use ready-made cosmetic blends as directed rather than applying pure essential oils to the skin.
2. Patch test before first use, especially on sensitive skin.
3. Keep away from the eyes and mucous membranes.
4. Store bottles closed, away from heat and light, and out of reach of children.

Some essential oils can increase sun sensitivity or are not recommended during pregnancy. If in doubt, ask a pharmacist or doctor.
